Epic Fail

In case you guys haven't heard, Transformers won the Best Movie of Year award at the MTV Movie Awards last night. This further proves why I hate 98 percent of human beings and refuse to watch MTV.

In case you're actually interested in who else won in this abortion of an awards show, look below:

Best Movie: Transformers

Best Male Performance: Will Smith in I Am Legend
(Will Smith could take a crap on screen and have the movie still be revered. I don't get the love for this guy.)

Breakthrough Performance: Zac Efron in Hairspray(hahaha...)

Best Female Performance: Ellen Page in Juno

Best Comedic Performance: Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

Best Fight: Sean Faris and Cam Gigandet in Never Back Down
(this is a joke, right?)

Best Villain: Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
(not bad)

Best Kiss: Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman in Step Up 2 The Streets

Best Summer Movie So Far: Iron Man
(why is this even a category? MTV is retarded.)

Tom Cruise presented Adam Sandler with the MTV Generation Award (they would give this hack a "Generation" award. They even had a crazy person give it to him.)

From what I've read, there were some decent moments in the show. And by some, I mean two. Apparently, Seth Rogen and James Franco came out and smoked a real joint. Of course, MTV lamed out and went to a super wide shot to try to get around it. So, maybe it wasn't that awesome. God, I hate MTV...

However, you should check out this viral campaign short for Tropic Thunder here via /Film. There's some really classic stuff in it. My favorite line was about Iron Man: "It'll do until the Dark Knight comes out." Start up the hype.

It is tough being a movie fan now. We have the pedantic Oscar ceremony where about 80% of the winners are underserved, and then we have the over the top MTV Movie Awards, where nothing deserves to win. But it is hard to ignore the amount of celeb support for the infantile MTV production. I don't know? There is no happy medium between the two, and it makes me sad.

I think we should start a fundraiser to help create the "YDKS Movie Awards". I can be in touch with World's Finest Chocolate within the week. Any other suggestions?
