Since it is Monster Fest here at YDKS Movies throughout the rest of the month of October, I figured I would try and start a new daily article (school work pending, of course) that features movie clips from various horror films. After all, what better way to celebrate Monster Fest than to watch video clips of cinema's greatest monsters?
Since it's Friday, I figured it would be about time to go with another clip from a Friday the 13th movie. This clip comes from Friday the 13th Part 7: A New Blood and is probably one of the most infamous deaths in the entire series. In this scene, Jason comes in on an unsuspecting girl in a tent, wraps her up in her sleeping bag, picks her up in it and slams her against a tree. I don't know why but it's simply hilarious. It's so popular among fans that they actually went on to parody it in Jason X. The scene is also infamous because it was one of the kills that was heavily edited by the MPAA in order to avoid an X rating (he original slammed her against the tree six times as opposed to the one time featured in this video). Most people still have their fingers crossed that Paramount will eventually release the uncut versions one day but who knows when that will actually happen (though they do have another Friday the 13th box set coming out soon... but that's probably just wishful thinking).
Anyways... how awesome that she unknowingly calls Jason a "big hunk of man" before he reveals himself? I don't know why but somehow that makes this already ridiculous and hilarious scene even more humorous to me.
