Mike Myers Cast in Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards?

/Film is reporting on a rumor that comedian Mike Myers, the man behind such classics as Wayne's World and as of late anti-humor projects such as The Love Guru, has been cast in Quentin Tarantino's WWII Jew-xploitation epic Inglorious Bastards. If this is true, Myers would join the other random comedic actors that Tarantino has cast such as B.J. Novak (The Office) and Simon Pegg (Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz). Eli Roth, who was also cast, isn't a comedic actor but he sure is a random one. Myers would also join Brad Pitt, who has been cast in the lead role.

Ummm... okay. Every time someone is cast in this movie I can't help but think, "Man, this really could be awful..." Something tells me that Tarantino is letting his cocaine do his casting for him.

According to /Film, Myers was cast to replace Adam Sandler, who had long been rumored to be on the "dream cast" for the film. Sandler decided to pass on the project in order to commit to Judd Apatow's stand-up comedy film to be released next summer (which co-stars Eric Bana and Seth Rogen).

This really doesn't make any sense. I don't really have much to say on this to be honest. It's just a rumor but it wouldn't surprise me if it's true. After all, nothing about this project has made much sense anyways. Myers is beyond washed-up by this point... perhaps this is just what he needs. But yeah... whatever.

(Note: The picture at the top of this article is of Michael Myers, the killer from the Halloween films. It has nothing to do with this article but wouldn't it be cool if that character had been cast in this movie instead of comedian Mike Myers? I mean, it would probably make more sense- that's for sure).

Quick question. After reading that last paragraph, I hafta ask... How many hours of sleep have you gotten in the last 72 hours? That seems like something sleep-deprived Wesley would say...

Not that much. I was up editing until 2 am and, after that, I tried to sleep but I'm a terrible sleeper. But I feel alright. Kinda. I still think that that would make more sense.

Tarantino's new film is shaping up to be a major disaster. He always has really good casts though. Hopefully it will turn out good.
